Immunity & Covid-19

Whether you’ve recovered from COVID-19 or received the vaccine, or neither you might be interested to know how to build your strong immune system.

What kind of immunity one builds after Covid -19?

Some Immunity can occur after developing COVID-19 or from getting the COVID-19 vaccination. However, truly the length of immunity post Covid 19 is not known for sure because there current data shows very different results . It is believed that though infection with the virus or getting vaccinated can provide some immunity, it is still not fully understood for reinfection. While a positive antibody test shows that you had the virus that causes COVID-19 or the vaccine, it still doesn’t give a clear understanding of your immunity to the virus. Studies shows that in some antibodies might protect against reinfection, in others may provide a lesser effect to infection while in others antibodies may provide no protection. Why such differences? The answer is depends on your immune system.

How immunity works?

After being infected with virus or receive the vaccine your body is supposed to build antibodies to it. Antibodies are proteins that circulate in blood and recognize foreign substance, viruses, bacteria and trigger an immune response. That means that once you acquire a virus the immune system retains a memory of it. So, your body should “remember” SARS-Cov-2 . Once exposed to the virus your T cells as well as B cells that will remember how to fight the virus in the future.

What is natural immunity?

We have with innate and adaptive immune system in other words one born and one acquired through life time. The components of these immunity offers us protection. Here are the key players in the our immunity that shape our response to the viruses.

  • Helper T cells help to recognize pathogens.
  • Killer T cells kill pathogens.
  • B cells make new antibodies when the body needs them.

How do we build immunity?

You can help your body builds resilience and immunity to the biological stressors. A natural way to build immunity is to support your B cells, T cells, Killer cells to fight against the attacks with specific nutrients.
