Arabinogalactans has been part of the diet of people for years and it is found in seeds, leaves, roots, and fruit. Arabinogalactans derived from Larix three (Larch) offer a solubility ad stability that makes it perfect for mixing up in a shake and/or refreshing drink. Other sources of arabinogalactans include leek seed, tomato, radish, carrot, and some medicinal herbs Echinacea, Curcumin, Baptisia tinctoria, etc.
Arabinogalactans has been found to improve body resistance in fighting virus, bacteria and up regulate the immune system. Arabinogalactans works in a similar manner like D-Mannose (in hindering toxic bacteria to attach to the bladder) to stop bacteria attach to the intestinal walls. In addition, arabinogalactans represent the food for the good bacteria (in the as short chain fatty acids format) providing good support against the inflammatory bowel disease.  In the animal studies, it suggest that it able to enhance Natural Killers (NK) cells by producing the pro inflammatory cytokines. In human studies it suggest to decrease the length of the cold by promoting the growth of intestinal microflora of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus acidophilus and through the fermentation resulting in SCFA (short chain fatty acids). SCFA regulates the leukocyte production of cytokines playing an immunomodulatory effect.
